Pictures Speak Louder than Words

Hey guys!

Once again, i'm sorry for being so quiet lately, i've been involved in a bit of teaching, yeah can u believe it? I've been teaching a computer class at a centre i've been volunteering, so thats consumed a bit of my time. Anyways enough of me, here's what i've experienced in the past weeks, let it be known that i do not condone the use of cannabis, but i was impressed with how the event shown in pictures was handled...

Dundas Square Toronto

Do you think we will ever see something like this in TZ?

Not exactly Trafalgar Square, but a square nontheless, it does have Wireless internet conection though!!

I've been doin a bit of voulunteering lately, here we were invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

People chillin, showing their skills, it sure is good to be alive, free and able bodied

A cannabis awareness group, 4:20, were on the square demonstrating for the legalisation of cannabis

At exactly 4:20pm, everyone involved lit up a spliff, these guys were serious....

This lineup was for some healthy living food that was handed out for free, so yes, without failure i did get me some grab, too healthy for me though, didn't taste of anything, not even the chicken

This huge Dairy Milk chocolate bar reminded me of my lovely sister Lemna, she does love her some dairy milk.

This copper was like "As long as it's for personal use, and they ain't bothering anybody, we ain't got a problem with em"..... mmmhh ain't freedom a beautiful thing ( Try doing that in TZ)

Hold on Folks

Hi people, there hasn't been anything new on my blog for a while now. I seem to have lost the motivation a little bit. Too many distructions are to blame, but such is life. Hold on tho, working on a few things right now, hopefully you will see something new soon. Take it easy guys.

My First NBA Experience!!

Definitely an experience I'll never come to forget. On Wednesday, April 28th, I was fortunate to have my first taste of live NBA basketball. We went to the Air Canada Centre to watch the Toronto Raptors (my new adopted team) pit their skills against the defending NBA champs (hence my favourite team of course!!) Miami Heat.

Now as you can imagine, this being my first experience, I'm as eager as ever to get there. I was actually ready an hour ahead of schedule (it only takes about 20 mins to get to the stadium from where I'm based) and wondering, "Why the hell is it taking so long for us to leave?" Eventually we got there...WOW!! What an experience. Loads of fans and food, which was as pricey as expected. There was plenty of entertainment throughout the match during the timeouts, which made the time fly by so quickly...I was surprised. "Games usually last for ages on telly", I thought to myself when I realised we were already in the fourth quarter.

I have to admit I was a bit overwhelmed. I planned to take loads of pictures but I ended up with just a few. The Raptors won the game by 96 - 83 with Anthony Parker knocking down 20 points and Chris Bosh with a "double double" (13 points and 11 rebounds). The win moved Toronto into 3rd place, ahead of Miami in the Eastern Conference

Ummmhhhhhh.....what can I say?!!

Air Canada Centre...my adopted home stadium

Wooooow!!...... like Flava flav!!

Raptors dancers doin' their thing

Behind me, Mr. O'Neil wasn't having a good day

Didn't I say there was entertainment?
